Workshops

Our 2021 plans are still tentative.  We are not yet accepting registration for these events.    But this is what we are hoping for right now.   Check back here in July to register,  or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.

Growing A Cut Flower Garden –  Saturday July 17

Join us in celebrating Canadian  Flowers Week!  We hope to offer several events – including this workshop.   Join us in a guided tour of our cut flower farm,  with explanations on how to source and grow the same cut flowers that are favourites with Canada’s top designers!  And of course,  cut a bucket as you go.  Then join us under our flower tent for refreshments and Q&A about all things cut flowers.  $80/person

Seed Foraging – Saturday September 11

This is a guided tour through our fading gardens so you can gather seeds to plant in your garden next spring. We’ll guide you through the collection and cleaning of our favourite flowering annuals (amaranthus, cosmos, sweet annie, larkspurs, ammi, bachelor buttons, hollyhocks, zinnias  and many many more),  as well as a selection of vegetables (peas, beans, heritage tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, squash, melons….) to save seeds from. We’ll show you how to collect, clean and store these seeds,  and explain when and how to start them next year.  $50/person

Foraging for Fall Decorations – Saturday October 2

This is a special ‘pick your own’ event.  You will be able to gather your own decorations for fall (cornstalks, broom corn, gourds),  pick out a fall mum plant,   choose a pumpkin  and gather fall leaves/branches.   $50/person

Wreath & Urn Making – Saturday Nov 27,  Saturday Dec 4

Back by popular demand –   wander through our fields to discover natural wreath making and urn materials.   Then join us in our studio space for a creative adventure and some refreshments.  $80/person
